MPH Program Overview

The MPH program offered by Saint Louis University allows students to select from several different concentrations so that they can focus their studies on the areas they want to work in. There are also dual degree opportunities and Joint MPH concentration as well. Those enrolling here have more options for their degree than most other schools can offer, and the customization is a big part of why so many enroll in the program. It’s campus based with no online options and is fully accredited.

MPH Curriculum and Courses

The MPH curriculum is grounded by five key core courses:

• Epidemiology
• Biostatistics
• Behavioral Science and Health Education
• Environmental and Occupational Health
• Health Policy

Along with these core classes – each of which can be chosen as a concentration area – there are several other specializations to select from including:

• Emergency Management and Crisis Leadership
• Biosecurity and Disaster Preparedness
• Professional Option – Practice

Additionally, numerous joint concentrations that share two of the above areas of concentration are available as well as Dual MPH Degrees in the fields of Social Work, Nutrition, Juris Doctor, and Medicine

MPH Admissions

Those hoping to gain admittance into the MPH program must meet several criteria and submit various documents along with their completed application. These include:

• GPA of 3.0 or better
• Bachelor’s or higher degree
• Recent GRE scores
• Letter of Intent
• Letters of Recommendation

Specific requirements may also exist depending upon the specific area of concentration that a student decides to enroll in.
