MPH Program Overview
Dartmouth College’s MPH program combines the high standards that have helped the college rank among the best in the world for years with the unique skillset needed to thrive in the world of public health. Graduates will learn the skills needed to analyze, plan, and implement public health policies and programs and can find employment in private or public sector jobs. They can usually enter administrative positions as well as work in various other areas of the sector. From conducting research to understanding what is contributing to obesity in a particular area, to developing a plan to reduce dental problems in a community, there are many different things that these professionals will be able to accomplish. While some aspects of the program are available online, in most cases you’ll have to attend traditional classes as well.
MPH Curriculum and Courses
There are a number of different classes that make up the MPH program at Dartmouth. Some examples of what you’ll be enrolled in include the following classes:
• Environmental Public Health

Along with the core curriculum, you’ll also be able to enroll in specialized areas that will further hone your skills. The specific classes involved will vary depending upon the exact specialization that you choose.
Admission requirements will vary based upon specialization, but a solid GPA of 3.0 and a bachelor’s or greater degree in an associated area of study will be required, in addition to letters of recommendation.
MPH Tuition and Financial Aid
The total annual cost of attendance for Dartmouth programs is currently just above $52,000. However, more than $82 million dollars is awarded annually in financial aid, so it’s usually fairly easy to locate the best possible financial aid options.
