Record-Breaking Enrollment for MPH Program at University of New England

The University of New England (UNE) recently reported that it has the largest enrollment ever in its Master of Public Health (MPH) online program for the fall 2012 term.

The university reported that 49 new graduate students were welcomed into the program for the 2012 school year. That makes the total number of students at the school 112.

The online MPH program at the University of New England is a highly rated online degree; it is fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), and is regionally accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). These accreditations mean that the program has been vetted for high quality and standards. You can be assured that when you attend UNE, you will receive a high quality MPH that is fully recognized by potential employers.

This is a significant milestone for UNE; in a time when many universities are dealing with a decline in enrollment, this university is continuing to see strong growth, especially in public health. This likely is due to the high quality of the faculty in the MPH program, and also because of the emphasis at the university on the most innovative technology.

The MPH program includes the following:

  • 46-credit hours
  • CEPH-accredited
  • A high quality faculty of practitioners, researchers and educators
  • Complete the MPH in 18 months
  • 100% online – no campus visits required
  • No GRE Required

The online MPH program was launched in 2005, and graduated its very first graduates in 2007. Since that time, UNE has awarded the MPH degree to 107 public health professionals. This is important, because there is a greater need than ever before for the highest quality public health officials in the US.

The University of New England is a top health sciences college that is well grounded in the liberal arts. It has two campuses in Maine, and many opportunities for you to study overseas. UNE has many well-recognized scholars who work in the sciences, medicine, health and the humanities. It offers more than 40 college degrees for both undergraduates and graduates. It also is the home of the only medical school in Maine.
